HISTORY
Early 2006 - The Idea The basic idea of the SIM-MODULES raised in early 2006, when I first thought of creating an computer-interface system on my own. The former system I used ("LPT-Switch") was a great one, yet I was in the need of some features this system simply couldn't offer. As I started to do some experiments with micro controllers at that time, it was a clear step to make use of this technology.
Summer 2006 - Start of the Diploma Thesis Project In summer 2006 I decided to make the development of a new, unique interface system the topic for my diploma thesis work at the HTBLuVA BLUME Graz-Gösting, a technical college for electronical engeneering and information technology.Together with my class mate René Müller, we planned to create a prototype of a basic radio stack for the use with the Microsoft® Flight Simulator™.We decided to do the whole project, as well as the final exams in English on a voluntary basis.
January 2007 - The first public presentation On January the 27./28., the project was presented to the public for the first time. The main attration of the show was a MultiView-Flightsimulator with not less than 7 screens - click HERE for more information.
May/June 2007 - Final Exam The work on the diploma thesis was finished in May 2007. Both the written work as well as the oral exams, which took place in June, were graded with excellent marks. July 2007 - New developments After the diploma thesis was finished, my colleague left the project and I started with the development of the so called "Blue Edition" of the SIM-MODULES, which has a completely changed data protocol, a totally new Control Panel Software and loads of new functions. The newly developed hardware offeres features like LC-Display connectors, individially programmable digital I/Os, analogue interfaces and a lot more.
December 2007 - "The SIM-MODULES" awarded!

February 2008 - Re-launch of www.sim-modules.at Re-launch of the SIM-MODULES. After some technical problems with the web server, the homepage is now up and running again.
